What information is required on my syllabi?

All faculty should have the following sections completed on their syllabi. Please note required fields as well. If you leave a required field empty this will prevent submission and completion of a syllabus.

Required Sections:
  • Instructor Information
    • Required Fields:
      • Name
      • Email
      • Best way for students to contact you (i.e. email) 
      • Department Homepage link
  • Welcome Message
  • Course Description
    • This information is pre-loaded onto syllabi. Confirm that it is correct and matches what is on the Master Course Description document.
  • Student Learning Outcomes
    • This information is pre-loaded onto syllabi. Confirm that it is correct and matches what is on the Master Course Description document.
  • Textbooks, Supplies, and Technology 
    • Required Fields:
      • Textbook Title or Course Material Name
      • Select if required or recommended
  • Falcon First Day Textbook Program
    • Select if your section does or does not belong to Falcon First Day
  • Student Expectations
  • Generative AI Usage
    • Select one statement that best describes your policy for students using AI
  • Course Curriculum & Philosophy
  • Class Schedule
  • Grading Policy & Scale
  • Attendance & Lateness Policy
