Issue: You are getting an error message trying to log into the MyDaytonaState Portal that you were not getting yesterday, or you are unable to login and your credentials haven't changed.

Brief Solution: Some MyDaytonaState Portal error messages and issues can be resolved by clearing the browser cache on your computer/device.

Instructions:

If you receive the error message "You are not authorized to access this component" or other unexpected error messages within the MyDaytonaState portal, please follow these steps to see if clearing the browser cache may resolve the issue before contacting the helpdesk.

  1. Log out of the MyDaytonaState portal.
  2. Clear your browser cache. Note: Clearing your web browser's cache, cookies, and history may remove data such as saved passwords. Please record any needed information before you clear the browser.
    1. Google Chrome
    2. Firefox
    3. Microsoft Edge
    4. Safari
  3. You may need to wait a couple of minutes for the browser to completely clear the cache and cookies.
  4. Close and reopen the browser and log into the Portal and check if the issue has been resolved.

If clearing the browser cache and cookies does not fix your issue, you may need to update your web browser to the latest version.

Rather than clear the browser cache, you may consider using a private browsing window in your preferred browser as a temporary solution:
